The Law Foundation of Prince Edward Island (LFPEI) receives interest earned on lawyers’ trust accounts and makes these funds available to organizations engaged in activities which are in keeping with its mandate, with the ultimate goal of strengthening Islanders’ ability to access justice and legal knowledge.
We invite interested organizations to submit a project proposal that will help address one or more of the following legal needs:
Any organization or individual may apply to the Foundation, provided the project is law related and falls within the statutory objects and areas of encouragement as interpreted by the Board of Governors, who make all decisions on funding. An applicant can apply for more than one project, and a separate application must be submitted for each separate project. All grants are made subject to budgeted amounts and the availability of funds.
Please review the Application Overview PDF, as well as the FAQ page, thoroughly before you begin preparing your application.
The deadline for projects beginning in 2018 projects has passed. Check in regularly to our main page for information on funding for projects beginning in 2019.
